Composed for a Pentecost Sunday service at Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church (Durham, NC). The text is from an old Lutheran hymn, but the music is a fiery adventure.  I composed the piece on short notice as a last-minute contribution to a Sunday worship service.  It was premiered by an intrepid (and somewhat surprised) quartet of singers, and later by a full choir.
